1. Introduction
1.1Welcome to the Carol Simbulan Rice Center web-based ordering system (the “System”). Please read these Terms of Service carefully before you create an account or place an order. By using the System, you agree to these Terms and to our Store Policy, which is set out in the sections below.
1.2The System allows customers to browse and order essential goods, namely rice, cooking oil, and sugar, from Carol Simbulan Rice Center (“Store”, “we”, “us”, “our”) for delivery, to track their orders, and to receive notifications, including weather alerts that may affect ordering or delivery.
1.3In these Terms, “you” or “Customer” means any person who registers for or uses the System. “Branch” means any of our store branches listed in the Contact Us section.
2. Accepting and Changing These Terms
2.1By creating an account, logging in, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the System.
2.2We may update these Terms, including the Store Policy, from time to time to reflect changes in our operations. If you keep using the System after an update, you accept the updated Terms. Orders that were already confirmed before an update continue to follow the Terms that applied when they were placed.
3. Your Account
3.1You need an account to place an online order. You must provide accurate and complete information, including your name, contact number, and delivery address, and keep it up to date.
3.2Walk-in customers who do not yet have an account may ask for assistance at any of our branches, and our authorized staff will help create the account.
3.3You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. You can update your account details and password from your profile. Please tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account.
3.4We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, for example by providing false information or submitting fake proof of payment.
4. Products, Order Limits, and Minimum Orders
4.1Rice. A delivery order is limited to a maximum of 10 sacks of rice per customer.
4.2Cooking oil and sugar. Orders are subject to a minimum quantity:
- Cooking oil: at least 50 liters.
- Sugar (white or brown): at least 200 kilograms.
4.3All products are subject to availability at the branch that will fulfill your order. If an item is out of stock, we will tell you through the System and may adjust or cancel that part of your order.
4.4Prices and product details shown in the System apply at the time you place your order.
5. Ordering Hours and Delivery Schedule
5.1Online ordering hours. We accept online orders only from 4:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Orders cannot be placed outside these hours, so please come back during ordering hours.
5.2Delivery hours. Deliveries start at 8:00 AM and end at 6:00 PM.
5.3Scheduled delivery. You may choose when you want your order delivered by setting a preferred date and time when you place your order. Scheduled times must fall within our delivery hours and remain subject to confirmation and availability.
5.4Weather. The System may send weather alerts. If unfavorable weather is expected, we may adjust or reschedule ordering and delivery for everyone’s safety, and we will notify you through the System.
6. Payment and Verification
6.1Payment comes first. Your order will not be prepared or delivered until your payment has been verified.
6.2For online orders paid by e-wallet (such as GCash) or bank transfer, you must upload a screenshot of your payment confirmation in the System. Delivery starts only after our staff has checked the screenshot and confirmed your payment.
6.3Payments are verified manually by our staff, so confirmation may take some time. We may ask for additional proof if the screenshot is unclear or does not match your order. Please pay the exact total shown on your order.
6.4Submitting a fake, edited, or reused screenshot is a serious violation. We may cancel the order, suspend your account, and take further action where appropriate.
6.5Walk-in purchases are paid directly at the branch counter.
7. Delivery
7.1Delivery is currently limited to the San Jose del Monte, Bulacan area. Orders with addresses outside this area may be declined or cancelled.
7.2The System uses delivery mapping to help identify the nearest branch and a suitable delivery route. Routes and delivery times are estimates. They rely on the address you provide and on basic mapping services, and they may not reflect real-time traffic conditions.
7.3Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address and make sure someone is available to receive and check the goods. If a delivery fails because of a wrong address or because no one can receive the order, we may reschedule it.
7.4When your order arrives, please check the goods. Our delivery personnel may record a proof of delivery when the order is handed over.
8. Walk-in Customers and Branch Orders
8.1Walk-in transactions are processed by authorized staff and recorded in the System so that stock and sales stay accurate.
8.2You may place an order at a branch and have it delivered to your home. Just like online orders, you must pay first before the delivery is dispatched.
9. Order Changes, Cancellation, and Order Problems
9.1You can cancel an incomplete order from My Purchases. Cancellation may no longer be possible once your order has been dispatched for delivery.
9.2If you ordered the wrong item or quantity, cancel the order and place a new one, or contact the branch for help.
9.3We may cancel an order if the item is out of stock, your payment cannot be verified, the order exceeds the limits in these Terms, or the delivery address is outside our delivery area. We will notify you through the System.
9.4If your order arrives damaged, spoiled, or different from what you ordered, please report it to the branch that handled your order as soon as possible so we can review it.
10. Privacy and Your Data
10.1We collect the information you give us, such as your name, contact details, delivery address, order history, and payment screenshots. We use it to process and deliver your orders, verify payments, plan delivery routes, and keep accurate sales and inventory records. Sales records may also be analyzed to help us plan our stock.
10.2We handle personal data in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). Only authorized personnel, such as the owner, authorized store staff, and delivery personnel, can see the information they need for their work, and we do not sell your personal data.
10.3For the full details on what we collect, how we use it, and your rights, please read our Privacy Policy on this page. 11. Acceptable Use
11.1When using the System, you agree not to:
- give false or misleading information, or submit fake proof of payment;
- use another person’s account or try to access data that is not yours;
- post ratings or feedback that are false, offensive, or not about the product you bought;
- interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to break the System or its security.
12. System Availability and Limitations
12.1The System is a web application and is accessed through a web browser. There is no mobile app.
12.2Because payments are verified manually and the System does not connect directly to banks or online payment gateways, payment confirmation is not instant.
12.3We do our best to keep the System available and accurate, but we are not responsible for delays or interruptions caused by weather, road conditions, internet or power outages, or other events beyond our control.
12.4These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
